Window to Paradise

2025 - Oil Paint (Palette Knife) - 16” x 20”

The scene is a brilliantly colored tropical island sunset that is framed by a natural “window” from the swaying palm trees. I wanted the painting to transport the viewer to a tropical paradise if only in their mind and heart. As for artistic technique, I painted this using only a variety of palette knives to give it an overall rough textured feel that allowed for a strong contrasting medley of colors. I love the blend of purple, fuchsia and coral to create a vivid sunset.
